I live in Virginia and was born and raised here. I never got to see Fugazi live. It still bothers me. In 2003, I dropped out of high school the last week of the 10th grade. I found my way at a local community college and in 2008 would earn my bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University. In 2015, I earned my master's degree in Higher Education from George Mason University. Throughout this unusual journey, discovering great music was always a huge motivating factor in my life. I blogged about it throughout my teens and early 20's until my interest in maintaining a web site faded. In early 2011, I stopped posting at Unfinished and relinquished my domain (liepaper.com). I didn't expect to try this again, but I started getting the itch to do so about a year ago. At age 30, I founded Tired Sounds because I wanted to write about music and culture again and because 140 characters was no longer filling that need.
